For the everyday work — admissions, attendance, fees, exams, report cards, parent messages — no. It runs in a browser on the computers you already have. Two features do need a device, and neither is special hardware you buy from us: face attendance runs on an ordinary Android phone or tablet kept at the gate, doing the recognition on the device itself; GPS and live location need the app running on a phone that is already travelling — a driver's or a staff member's. There is no biometric machine, no card reader and no server to install.

Nothing to us, and that is the point. The notification module is part of your plan, but the messages themselves go through your school's own MSG91 / WhatsApp Business account, which you connect in settings. You are billed by that provider at their rates for what you send. We do not resell messages, mark them up, or cap them.

Razorpay's own transaction fee is charged by Razorpay to the school's account, on their published rates for your business type. Pathsala adds nothing on top and takes no share of a fee payment — the money settles into your school's account on Razorpay's normal settlement cycle. What we charge you is the monthly subscription, and nothing else.

Yes — 30 days, no credit card, and nothing charged at the end. The trial opens every module except Priority Support for the whole period, including the ones that normally belong to the top plan: face attendance, online exams, online fees, transport, advanced reports and the mobile apps. There is no student or staff limit while you are trialling, and you use your own school's data rather than a demo sandbox. The exception is Priority Support — that is our people's time rather than software, so it begins when your subscription does.

Your school gets its own separate database from the first day, trial included — it is not a shared table with other schools in it. If you do not continue, tell us and we delete it; otherwise a dormant trial database is removed after the retention period in our privacy policy, with a backup taken before deletion. Our team is in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and every Bhubaneswar school is supported remotely — WhatsApp, phone and screen share, Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM IST. Setup, training and troubleshooting are all done that way. If your school needs someone physically on site, we are not the right fit.
